In Uganda’s rural communities, many families live in survival mode—working hard, yet unable to meet basic needs. Lack of access to capital, skills, and support prevents them from breaking free from poverty. Most depend on seasonal farming, informal jobs, or unreliable income sources that leave them vulnerable to crisis and unable to invest in their children’s education, health, or future.
Thrive Together is a bold initiative by Women Reliance Foundation to economically empower vulnerable rural families—especially women-led households—to start and sustain income-generating activities. Through a combination of skills training, financial literacy, startup capital, and Sustainable agricultural practices that promote self-reliance.
